Eagles and other cool birds in Alton!

See the fish this one was going for?  It was a feeding frenzy!

They went talons to talons over the fish.  I had never seen this before today (in real life).  What a great day in Alton.

The swans have come to Alton!  Very cool!

The bottom one caught a fish and the top guy is trying to profit from it.  Don’t worry the one that caught it did eat it

Heron’s flew in to eat.  At one point there were four of them.  I loved watching them.  We could not get out of the car this whole time, because as you know…..it was WAY TOO COLD!

Not sure what this cute duck is, but I thought it was neat looking.  I’ll have to check with my aunt.

Hope you all had a great Christmas!  One funny moment was Christmas Eve we let the boys open one present (while at a nice dinner with good friends, thanks Liz!).  E opened a puzzle we gave him and handed it to me and said, “I don’t want it.”  Good thing I am the one that brought it, so no feelings were hurt, we just laughed.  On Christmas day his favorite thing to play with for a while was an old guitar we got after Noah was born as a hand me down.  I’m thinking next year we raid the play room and wrap something up from there.  No money spent, no more junk to add to my house and still LOTS of Christmas fun
